My Dear Friend,

     Often, in our pursuit of holiness, we experience moments so filled with power that we are enabled to do what we could not do before.  We find ourselves in holy places where "heaven touches earth and we happen to be standing there." If you've ever experienced an extra ability to overcome sin or a sudden lack of desire for a once cherished indulgence---that was a space of grace.  To maintain it:

  • Don't ignore it.  This space of grace is a gift from God.  Give Him praise and thanks.  Then walk carefully in His provision (Romans 1:21).
     
  • Don't misinterpret it.  We often attribute God's gift of freedom to will power we worked up on our own.  Pride grows, and as a result, we are often one step away from a fall (Isaiah 2:11).
     
  • Don't abuse it.  When we misuse grace by willfully returning to our sin after being set free, we grieve the Spirit, and the grace to overcome is often removed (Hebrews 10:26-29).
     
  • Don't give up.  If you've abused God's mercy or have yet to find that gracious place, repent and keep seeking God.  He wants to set you free (Joel 2:13)!

The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.
The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.

     Create a "Space of Grace" in your life!  Your relationship with God has so many benefits.  This year, 2009, has so much to offer you spiritually!  There is evidence in the Spirit that you want more of God.  You really want MORE of God.  That's Great!  Always keep a Space of Grace in your day.  Do not allow thoughts to form in your mind.  Every time you feel yourself drifting with sad thoughts, depression because of your bills or circumstances, or just negative thoughts, CAST THOSE THOUGHTS DOWN!  Replace them with scriptures (Psalms and Romans, for example). 

     I want this year to take you HIGHER in Jesus!  I want your Spiritual Life to be strengthened.  Please lets get up and DO SOMETHING!  Please do not allow the "naysayers" to hold you back!  If there is something going on in your church, don't ask someone else whether or not they will be attending!  You don't need them to attend for you to attend!  Walk in faith.  If the choir is singing and you don't feel like lifting up your hands and worshipping God...ask God to give you the heart and the mind to worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. 

    Make Space of Grace in your Worship!  Allow the Lord to take you behind the veil.  Allow the Lord to take you so far in worship that you will be blind to the people standing around you.  If you began to praise God seriously or continue praising God seriously, you will experience unlimited time with God.  The enemy will automatically be defeated in your life.
