A Healthy Soul
** Is a Soul at peace and at rest!
-It isn’t upset, worried, angry, ashamed, or fearful.
-It is STRONG and STEADY
-Full of love, joy, hope, compassion towards others
-It is Confident in God
-It can handle the ups and downs of life appropriately
-It can go through everyday life with ease
Can you honestly say “That’s Me!”?
If that’s you, maybe you haven’t dealt with aging parents, difficult teenagers, unexpected death, sickness, financial difficulties, rejection, hurt, low self-esteem, etc.
There are all kinds of situations that will cause you to think you really cannot have a healthy soul. They may mean you have to work hard to improve the health of your soul, but they don’t prohibit it. Actually, the fact that you are going through these things is not a hindrance to a healthy soul; its the reason you need one!
Understanding A Healthy Soul
**The healthier your soul is, the strong you will be and the better you will be able to handle your most challenging circumstances.
**God has given us the “Fruit of Self-Control” - Gen. 5:22-23.
**We have control over HOW WE RESPOND TO STRESS!
**It’s better to face challenges with a Healthy Soul than a weak or wounded one.
POWERFUL
**We are spiritual beings who have a soul and live in a body. Your Inner self is composed of your spirit and soul, and your outer self is your body!***
The Spirit of a Woman
**Is where the Holy Spirit comes to Live when she is born again.***
When she receives Jesus as her Savior, her spirit becomes the dwelling place of God.
And Since God cannot be anywhere that is not completely holy, the human spirit is sanctified, or made HOLY at that point!
Even after we know what we have, we still need to make decisions to act accordingly.
Knowing is Step 1, but it needs to be followed by Step 2, which is doing what we NOW KNOW!

**We need to rely on God to Give us the Strength to obey Him.
This may be difficult, but we must remember Philippians 1:6 (God is able to complete the good work he started in us).
What does it means to rest internally (not eternally) as it pertains to the realm of the soul?
@@When we are at complete rest in mind, will and emotion, then and only then will we be free from the tyranny of circumstances and people that upset us.

A. When a Healthy Soul is at rest; it is not emotionally distraught.
B. When a Healthy Soul is at rest; it doesn’t worry or become anxious, fret, or fear..
C. When a Healthy Soul is at rest; it is not burdened with guilt or shame.
D. When a Healthy Soul is at rest; it has found its home in God and trusts Him to take care of all that concerns it.

God invites us to cast our care, not to ignore our responsibilities.

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls]
Enjoying God’s Rest is dependent upon us learning HIS ways.

Take My Yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls.
Have God given us peace and we allowed a situation to throw us back into our own old patterns? (Page 33/paragraphs 1 and 2)
Always remember that God is merciful, and whatever mistakes you make, they are not a surprise or shock to Him. He already knew that you would do before you did it, and He loves you anyway. With God there is always an opportunity for a new beginning or a frest start!!
